I taped these quotes up on my bedroom ceiling, so that I would be reminded of how these three ladies have influenced my life in one way or another. Whether it's Coco Chanel's early declaration of feminism in the face of a male-dominated fashion industry, Audrey Hepburn's sophisticated yet innocent grace, or Marilyn Monroe's embrace of her imperfections -- they've shaped the best of me.

I will most likely be on hiatus until Tuesday, December 18th because I'll be in Las Vegas for cheerleading nationals -- zebra-print hairbows, uniforms bedecked in rhinestones, glitter make-up -- there should be cheer fashion shows, don't you agree?
