Tidbits: January 1st, 2008

Happy new year, my lovelies! I woke up to a bright blue sky -- what a great start for the new year! I hope you've already started working on your new year's resolutions and are embracing the possibilities that 2008 will bring. I know I'm already in love with 2008 for these reasons:
  1. Some of the endeavors I will be pursuing this year are SAT exams, AP exams, SAT II exams, final exams, college applications, college counseling, spring break college visits trip, living in New York City with a dear friend, interning with Seventeen, meeting Alexander Wang, visiting Teen Vogue and meeting the editors, visiting CosmoGIRL! and meeting the editors, studying fashion history by myself under the guidance of my art history professor, planning a fashion show fundraiser for the March of Dimes, traveling to Palm Springs for a cheerleading competition, and not sleeping very much. Ah, the life of a second semester junior and a first semester senior.
  2. Speaking of not sleeping, what is the best energy drink that one can drink? Sugar-free Rockstar works very well for me, but it's highly unhealthy. I was thinking about trying Glaceau Vitamin Energy -- has anyone tried it so far? Is there a more "natural" way to gain energy for the night? I definitely need all the energy I can get this year.
  3. My lovely friend Stephanie wrote about her own fabulous fashion dos and don'ts. She's one of the most smartly dressed girls at my extremely fashion-driven school -- a tip from her is highly valuable.
  4. While browsing the hosiery department at Macy's, I came upon Tracy Reese by HUE tights -- in polka dot! As seen in the Tracy Reese Fall 2007 collection, these tights are slightly demure, but still very divine and striking. They're at Macy's for only $28.00.
  5. Gala wrote a fabulous article on setting goals and achieving them. I hope it kick starts your new year as much as it does for me! I emailed this article to everyone who blessed me with their charms in 2007.
  6. My devoted readers, please nominate me for the Eighth Annual Weblog Awards. I have truly fallen in love with blogging and I adore how it connects me to wonderful fashionistas like you. Please nominate me for best teen weblog and best fashion weblog, as well as any other categories that you see fit. It would mean so much to me if you could take a few minutes out of your busy schedules to do so!
Now if you'll excuse me, there's so much work to do before school tomorrow and I still need to watch Breakfast at Tiffany's before bed! May you have a wonderful year, and please share with me your experiences!
